Job Summary
As an Accountant Analyst, you will join our Finance Team! In this role, you will report directly to the Finance Director in Chile. You will be responsible for supporting accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and contributing to the month-end closing process.
The main objective of this role is to ensure the integrity of financial records, support statutory and management reporting requirements, and contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of ContourGlobal's finance function. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the full month-end accounting closing process for Chile.
- Collaborate with the process review and continuous improvement of the accounting and financial procedures with the Procurement Team.
- Assist in monthly reconciliations between IFRS and local GAAP.
- Support the maintenance of a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with internal control activities.
- Prepare and independently post group ledger entries in SAP.
- Ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time.
- Support monitor and control all bank transactions and coordinate with Group Treasury.
- Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, statutory requirements, and internal practices to facilitate timely clearance of statutory and management accounts.
- Support annual external and statutory audit reviews.
- Assist in the preparation, filing, payment, and accounting of tax and social security returns.
- Work closely with the AP Accountant and broader Treasury & Finance Team.
- Perform additional ad hoc duties as requested by Finance Management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Your profile is a natural match if you have:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience (3- 4 years) in accounting within an international business environment or multinational group.
- Skills: Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of local statutory requirements.
- Systems: Experience working with SAP.
- Languages: English communication skills, both written and verbal.
