Job Summary:

 

The Maintenance Manager directs and organizes the maintenance of the equipment and systems of the Plants and manages the implementation of new projects, prioritizing the safety of the people and the equipment in compliance with CG policies, existing regulation, applicable law, and in line with the operational and strategic plans and approved budget, in order to achieve the maximum performance and availability of the Plant. Additionally, the role includes the responsibility to supervise the training of personnel. The Maintenance Manager reports to the Plant Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Maintenance, planned and emergent

  •  
  • Manage the CMMS program, SAP, at a high level. Be able to plan multiple outages within the program. Identify gaps and or duplicate tasks to optimize the maintenance program.
  • Ensure timely performance of the needed maintenance to ensure reliable operation of the plant.
  • Have preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance implemented for an effective use of the resources.
  • Ensure that any emergent maintenance is carried out minimizing impact on availability.
  • Review and/or approval of maintenance procedures and instructions.
  • Establish and ensure compliance with the Work Permit System in the Maintenance organization.
  • Attend the Safety and MA rounds carried out by the Plant.
  • Organize and coordinate the technical and safety training necessary to improve the professional skills of your team.
  • Establish and implement regular maintenance activities through work plans and ensure their technical and safety training completion on time.
  • Ensure the availability of spare parts and consumables.
  • Communicate the importance of the requirements of the Management System.
  • Support in the maintenance of the quality, safety and MA system based on the corresponding standards.
  • Develop HSE rules application.
  • Enforce company H&S standards as well as environmental management plans when working with contractors in order to ensure a safe and healthy work site.

 

Projects Management

  • Evaluate projects to be implemented in the plants to improve the performance of the plants including new technologies.
  • Take responsibility for the implementation of new projects, e.g. Automatization of the Plant, Batteries storage, etc.

 

Continuous improvement

  •  
  • Effectively use the organizational framework to capture, implement, and reward improvement initiatives.
  • Encourage the team members to identify and initiate improvements and innovations that will enhance plant safety and reliability, work productivity, cost reduction, and quality of client service.

 

Management

  •  
  • Provide direction and oversight to maintenance team members including objective setting and performance reviews.
  • Ensure training and development of the O&M team members improving their professional skills.
  • Resolve employee issues, engaging Human Resources as necessary when relevant.
  • Be responsible for the effectiveness of the Management System and its integration into business processes.
  • Engage, direct and support team members who contribute to the effectiveness of the Management System. Support other management roles to demonstrate leadership.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

 

  • Direct supervision of the employees within the maintenance team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 10 years of experience in the Energy Sector or O&M of power plant.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience overseeing maintenance and projects activities.
  • Technical formation and acumen relevant to the energy sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required for a highly matrix organization.
  • A motivated self-starter who can work with little direct supervision in a dynamic and fast-paced environment in consideration of time sensitive deadlines.
  • Result-oriented person who is able to maintain a positive attitude and thrive in a team environment.
  • Highest level of ethics and personal responsibility.
  • Genuine commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • High degree of comfort performing root cause analysis, examining failures, and reporting transparently both good and bad news.
  • Experience in international environment.

  • Driving on company business is a requirement of this position and as such, the incumbent shall have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Travel RequirementsThis position will require occasional business trips.

 

Salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $150,000.00.
