Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor administers the plant's inventory program and ensures that the inventory of parts and equipment is complete and accurate.

Key Responsibilities:

Health and safety

  • Have a strong working knowledge of the ContourGlobal Health & Safety Management System and its respective safe work practices, i.e., Permit to Work, Management of Change, and Contractor Safety etc.
  • Coach and mentor facility employee through engagement on proper safety behaviors, use of the ContourGlobal Management System and its respective expectations and through on-going participation of in Health & Safety activities i.e., inspection, incident investigation and visible felt leadership.
  • Verify job tasks are adequately reviewed prior to initiating work and when changes occur in the work environment or tasks requirements.
  • Ensure all Incidents and potential adverse events (i.e., Near Misses) are quickly communicated to Plant leadership and Health & Safety site/regional support.

Main Duties

  • Maintain records of all fixed assets and purchase requisitions.
  • Deal directly with vendors to place orders and follow up on deliveries.
  • Receive, store and issue all items, materials and equipment ordered by purchase order or furnished by a contractor.
  • Coordinate with requestors the quantity and quality check of delivered goods.
  • Ensure all received items are properly inspected, accounted for, documented, and stored.
  • Implement all purchasing and inventory management programs and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate supervisors to obtain personnel for repair and maintenance. Maintain and utilize inventory management systems.
  • Process procurement documents (purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, delivery notes, acceptance protocols) with due care in accordance with the procurement policies and procedures.
  • Communicate directly with vendors to track order status and follow up on deliveries; responsible for tracking the progress of shipments and addressing any problems.
  • Receive, store, ship, and issue all items, materials, and equipment.
  • Coordinate transfers in and out of the warehouse, tracking all movements.
  • Maintain inventory of all goods, including sorting, counting, and organizing.
  • Effectively communicate information to Plant management, relative to the condition of the warehouse, and availability of material.
  • Assist Maintenance, with mechanical and electrical equipment repairs.
  • Complete other tasks, as requested by Plant management.
  • Process repairable inventory assets to repair facility.
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept neat, clean and orderly.
  • Issue Safe Work permits for the facility.
  • Responsible for warehouse equipment, vehicles and forklift.
  • Assist the Buyer whenever needed to further the procurement process.
  • Responsible for all after-hours warehouse callouts.
  • Assist facility Management with various projects within the facility.
  • Perform cycle counts of warehouse/inventory annually, via weekly sectional counts.
  • Ensure min/max inventory levels are monitored and adjusted as needed.
  • Coordinate with maintenance employees and Materials & Procurement to issue out inventory items.

Continuous improvement

  • Strives for excellence and looks for opportunity to improve/make work more efficient and with higher quality.
  • Analyzes issues and identifies the root cause of a near miss/failure and takes actions to eliminate it in the future.
  • Effectively uses CG practices/methodology for continuous improvement.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Manager and cooperates with all site employees, relative to the procurement process, receiving process and inventory control.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment, as would be acquired in four (4) years of high school.
  • This position entails the utilization of a forklift for the loading, unloading, and movement of various materials and equipment component parts. Must maintain proper certification, for operation of a forklift.
  • Warehouse experience to include shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Knowledge and understanding of purchasing procedures.
  • Experience using computerized accounting, and inventory control systems.
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Time management, prioritization, and organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • SAP experience.
  • One year of experience, with a mechanical trade, is desirable.
  • Physical requirements may include standing on feet for extended periods, requiring stair and ladder climbing; and routinely lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Protective equipment: such as hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, and high- voltage protective equipment, must be worn in the performance of some duties.
  • Work with hazardous materials may be required.
  • Position may require extended working hours, with the possibility of weekend and holiday work; as required by schedules, workloads, and Plant conditions.
  • Driving on company business is a requirement of this position and as such, the incumbent shall have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

 

Travel Requirements – This position may require occasional business trips.

 

Salary range for this position is $58,240.00 - $63,000.00.
