The Warehouse Assistant is responsible to assist in the administration and management of the CELCSA plant warehouses as well as Maintenance Planning to maintain updated and reliable inventory and the execution of maintenance in a timely manner, ensuring the necessary resources.

 

The position is based in Cosoleacaque, Veracruz.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Plant Manager is responsible for manage and coordinate, through SAP, of the warehouse infrastructure, inventory of spare parts, consumables and special tools, support for the purchase of consumables and spare parts from local and foreign suppliers and maintaining a minimum level of stock in all warehouse items. to guarantee availability, following established procedures and/or advice received. Attending plant users to requests for spare parts, materials and consumables in daily plant activities, inventory review and continuous updating in the input and output system. Reception of materials and equipment from suppliers in the warehouse, acceptance review and placement in the warehouse according to the correct location. Maintain plant warehouses in order and cleanliness.

 

 

Among the most important tasks are:

 

  • Support in maintenance planning through tasks assigned by the warehouse supervisor and planning for the scheduling of maintenance work, ensuring the availability and supply of necessary material resources, as well as in the preparation of programs and updates in the SAP system. Keep the equipment and spare parts database updated in SAP for proper replenishment scheduling and planned maintenance work.
  • The warehouse areas under his/her responsibility include General Warehouse, Chemical Warehouse, Oils and Lubricants, Gases and Waste.
  • Organize materials and spare parts according to Warehouse Management guidelines and H&S requirements, using forklifts, forklifts, and skids, if necessary.
  • Assist in updating warehouse procedures and collaborate on others as necessary, inventory planning for closures, maintenance plans, proposing, where appropriate, improvements.
  • Use of the SAP Maintenance and Inventory Management System to keep spare parts and/consumables management updated for the creation of purchase requests (PR).
  • Pursue excellence and look for opportunities to improve/make work more efficient and of higher quality.
  • Analyze problems and identify the root cause of a near-miss/failure and take action to eliminate it in the future.
  • Effectively use CG practices/methodology for continuous improvement (5 Whys)

 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  • Business Administration degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management, supply, and acquisitions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Good organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage time, multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment.
  • English Advanced/Intermediate
  • Knowledge in SAP, Concur
  • Microsoft Office skills

 

This position reports hierarchically to the Plant Manager.
