We are looking for a 

Maintenance Planner  

Hobbs, New Mexico 

Job Summary: 

As a Maintenance Planner, you will join our Operations team! In this role, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be helping lead our global power generation company into the future.  You will be a vital member of our Operations team, reporting to the Maintenance Manager and supporting the overall reliability and efficiency of the Hobbs facility. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with maintenance and operations teams to develop and coordinate daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance plans that keep our equipment running safely and effectively. You'll help align resources, schedules, and priorities, ensuring all work follows established safety and environmental standards. This role also supports key initiatives around reliability, asset management, and continuous improvement while fostering teamwork and accountability across departments. Key Responsibilities: 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Developing and maintaining detailed daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance schedules that support site reliability and operational goals 

  • Partnering with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate resources, priorities, and timelines for all planned work, including major maintenance and opportunity outages 

  • Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with safety procedures, environmental standards, and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) protocols 

  • Preparing and maintaining accurate work packages, job plans, preventive maintenance programs, and maintenance procedures 

  • Tracking and analyzing maintenance and scheduling KPIs to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability 

  • Supporting the implementation of reliability-centered maintenance and asset management initiatives 

  • Applying technical expertise to identify and resolve maintenance and scheduling challenges efficiently and cost-effectively 

  • Maintaining current knowledge of SAP, Primavera P6, and other relevant software to effectively plan, schedule, and manage work 

  • Promoting a strong culture of safety, teamwork, and operational excellence across maintenance and operations teams 

  • Demonstrating accountability, adaptability, and sound judgment in day-to-day decisions and priorities 

  • Occasionally filling in for the Crew Supervisor role as needed 

Qualifications and Skills:  

Your profile is a natural match if you have: 

  • A High School Diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred) 

  • 10+ years of experience in a power plant or industrial environment, including at least 5 years in maintenance planning or scheduling 

  • 2–3 years of experience using SAP or another CMMS to plan, schedule, and track maintenance work 

  • Strong understanding of maintenance and reliability principles, including proactive and preventive maintenance practices 

  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures 

  • Experience developing work packages, job plans, and detailed schedules for daily, weekly, and outage activities 

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to accuracy and efficiency 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with scheduling tools such as Primavera or MS Project is an asset 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to coordinate priorities and resolve issues 

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to follow and document procedures effectively
