Reporting directly to Vice president M&A, the Associate M&A will support the Team in the activities related to acquisitions in Latin America within the “Group” meaning all companies directly or indirectly controlled by ContourGlobal Limited.
Key Responsibilities
- You will support the transaction work streams, including process documentation, due diligence, and creation of investment memorandums. This includes also assessing qualitative criteria of potential transactions and implementing those meaningfully in the analysis.
- You will be responsible for the preparation of the investment analysis for M&A initiatives. You will be required to analyse complex businesses in a way that is rigorous, clear, intuitive and flexible
- You will support equity investment decisions and as such, you will have to preform financial analyses that create various scenarios
- You will be required to prepare compelling presentations that lay out clear investment thesis on why a project provides an attractive risk-adjusted return
- You will be required to work across the company to determine the appropriate valuation assumptions and inputs, and rigorously challenge and debate assumptions with colleagues

Qualification & Skills
- An experienced analyst or associate with world-class valuation and quantitative abilities
- Skilled at providing investment analysis quickly and with clarity
- Skilled at preparing compelling materials describing a transaction and value drivers and then presenting with clarity to the executives at ContourGlobal in high-pressure situations
- Eager to work in a lean and flat organization and have the interpersonal skills to manage horizontally within the company and on transaction teams
- Deeply interested and intellectually curios of energy and financial markets
- Enthusiastic about contributing to a fast growing and dynamic organization
- Flexible to travel when required for a transaction
- 3-4 years of experience at a financial institution or strategic company working as a financial analyst or associate in energy or infrastructure investments
- Fluent in English and Spanish. Any additional language is a plus
- Willingness and interest to travel
- Excellent academic qualifications preferably with an undergraduate degree in finance
