JOB SUMMARY
This position requires a fast-learning and highly motivated individual, with a can-do attitude and the drive to learn the renewables business.  Attention to detail, accuracy and strong written and oral skills are essential.  This person will be a member of the Valuation Team reporting to the Global Head of Valuation within the Finance function and will perform economic-financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, M&A transactions, and Business development opportunities.  The incumber must be organized and flexible, maintaining the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Investments financial valuation with proper methodologies (mainly DCF) to define main KPIs of projects/strategic initiatives (e.g. IRR, NPV).
  • Valuation of M&A opportunities with applicable methodologies (e.g. DCF, comparable transactions multiples). 
  • Analyze and challenge investment assumptions provided by other departments/external providers, making sure of the robustness of the final output. 
  • Identify and measure the impact of investments risks on the value to shareholders. Perform sensitivity analysis based on different scenarios. 
  • Prepare all the relevant documentation necessary for the investment approval process. 
  • Coordinate advisors involved in financial modelling (e.g. tenders/project financing). 
  • Take a proactive role in projects Development Optimization phase.
  • Ability to critically analyze financial information and communicate rationales, analysis and results effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple client engagements, and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.
  • Research and stay abreast of current local, state, and federal tax laws and renewable energy regulation.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  • A business degree with a concentration in Finance. Professional designation (e.g. CPA/MBA) is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Financial modelling/Valuation.
  • Experience in renewable industry preferred.
  • Ability to quickly read, review, analyze and summarize large amounts of information, such as projects information and market research.
  • Project management skills, including organization and the ability to control multiple processes and tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills and high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft office.
  • Ability to model tax equity schemes under the IRA is a big plus.
  • Ability to navigate, modify and write macros (VBA) will constitute a plus.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present written and oral information to Management and the customer.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.

 

Travel Requirements – up to 30%, depending on business needs.
