Procurement Assistant

• Ensure that the Contourglobal (CG) Policies are fully understood and followed at the Power Plant (including CG Essential information _ Company Values, Anti-Corruption, Supplier Code of Conduct, Health Safety & Environment, obligations to local communities, etc)
• Be a project sponsor in corporate environmental and social responsibility activities undertaking by CG & KivuWatt Ltd
• Maintain and update vendor information – Recertification of vendors done on time, so that there are no blocks when creating Purchase orders
• Create and follow up approvals for Purchase Orders (PO) and Purchase Requisition (PR). Ensure accuracy of the PR/PO created by confirming the validity of documentation, accurate computation of quantities and price amounts before submission
• Follow up on orders made to ensure vendors meet their lead times and updating the dedicated tracker for all purchases with any changes timely
• Improve purchase order cycle time by reducing the time taken for the purchase order process to complete from inception through the dedicated tracker where pending items can be accessed and reviewed by the approvers
• Work with the warehouse team to ensure that invoices accurately reflect goods received or services rendered
• Maintain accurate purchasing and pricing records
• All other tasks requested by your supervisor

Qualifications and Skills

1. Degree in procurement, logistics, accounting, business administration, IT or equivalent
2. At least 2 year of procurement experience
3. Good written and verbal English, French will be an added advantage
4. Proficiently in Microsoft Office products such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Adobe
5. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
6. A precise and accurate attention to details
7. Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
8. Organized team player
