Job Summary
The Warehouse Officer is responsible for ensuring efficient management of Kivuwatt’s warehouse operations, safeguarding inventory integrity, and supporting uninterrupted plant activities. This role oversees the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, spare parts, and consumables, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies and HSE standards. The officer will work closely with procurement, maintenance, and operations teams to guarantee timely availability of critical supplies and optimize warehouse processes.
Key Responsibilities:
In his quality of Warehouse Officer, the Employee shall have the following responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, unloading deliveries, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, storing, and issuing materials.
- Ensure that special tools and specific spare parts (e.g., seals, motors, electrical components) are stored correctly according to manufacturer specifications, protecting them from the humid lake environment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through systematic tracking and reporting.
- Maintain proper filing of delivery notes, material requisitions, gate passes, and material certifications. Support audits and inspections by providing accurate documentation and compliance evidence.
- Conduct regular stock reconciliations and cycle counts to minimize variances.
- Adhere to all ContourGlobal HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols, including proper lifting techniques, lifting equipment operation, and hazardous material storage.
- Coordinate with procurement and O&M teams to forecast material requirements.
- Prepare and stage tool kits and spare parts for offshore maintenance crews before they depart to the platforms.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment to prevent shortages.
- Drive continuous improvement in warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Perform other activities as may be assigned by the maintenance manager/supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, engineering field
- Professional certification in inventory or warehouse management (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is an added advantage.
- Good level (written and spoken) in English and French (optional)
- Good problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across operations and engineering teams.
- Ability to manage thousands of unique spare parts systematically.
- Honest and meticulous with inventory counts to prevent loss.
- Willing to support urgent requests from maintenance teams, even during shift changes.
- Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to utilize 3Cs
- Familiar with CG health and safety standards and the ability to enforce company HSE standards as well as environmental management plans as required providing a safe and healthy work site
- Good level (written and spoken) in English.
