Job Summary:

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our global power generation company as we move into the future. Our mission is to drive positive changes while relying on our established foundation of continuous improvement. Are you ready to take on the challenge?

Key Responsibilities:

With reporting to the Senior Accountant Nigeria, main responsibilities on a given perimeter of statutory operating entities companies are the following:

• Entering daily transactions in SAP general ledger and accounting system
• Leading local statutory tax audits and compliance
• Providing procurement support for plant managers

* Proficiency in Mircosoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

* Understand the importance of targets and KPIs but also the concept of garbage in/garbage out

*Managing inventory accounting and physical stock control
• Preparing special accounting reconciliations reports
• Management fixed asset in SAP and physical control including maintaining an up-to-date

register
• Participating in Sarbanes_Oxley based internal controlling and documentations
• Participates in year-end statutory and group financial auditing
• Ensure all vendor compliance documentations are in line with CG policies
• Petty cash reconciliation
• Ensure all vendor compliance documentations are in line with CG policies
• Maintain proper filling & documentation system
• Assist in internal auditing of the business

• Assist in monthly and periodic closing activities.
• ITF documentations

Any other function assigned by the senior accountant

Profile

Chartered Accountant with 3-5 year experience in a similar position preferably within an international environment.

• Ideally, candidate has extensive experience in SAP (BPC is a plus)

• Alert and warning skills

• Ability to control.

• Excellent oral and written communications as well as project management skills

• Well organized and process oriented, candidate will be at ease in an international environment as the Group operates in approximately 20 countries.

• Proactivity and drive for change, keen to promote the best practices and adaptable to the group structure.

English fluent, as English is the main language within the Group
