System Analyst

ROLE OF THE POSITION  

We are seeking for a highly driven, analytical and creative professional for the Finance Business Analyst position at ContourGlobal. This role supports the Finance transformation initiatives around reporting automation, including Power BI (design and building new reports, maintenance of the tool), and management of the SAP BPC tool, working closely with the Systems team . 

In addition, the role also supports the analysis of all our Overhead spend $50m and provides crucial insights to corporate costs to Functional leads.  

This critical function acts as an intermediary between Finance, IT and the Corporate functions, prepares the spend analysis around actuals, budget and costs forecasts of those functions.  

The person hired for this role must have a proven record of partnering with senior stakeholders. The role reports into Finance but has a dotted line to Director of Finance Transformation. Successful candidate will have to gain a strong understanding of each function and be able to work closely with Senior functional stakeholders. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

This position will be responsible for managing the reporting tools (Power BI and the SAP BPC environment) and analysis of functional spend and interaction with corporate leads. 

The main responsibilities include: 

• Support and manage SAP BPC and Power BI, including designing, building, and maintaining reports 

• Analyze data flows across the organization and identify improvement potentials, while supporting business lines to ensure the system is meeting their business needs 

• Design enhancements of the BPC environment in a way that enables efficiency and improved performance. Monitor data and related processes in SAP BW 

• Compose test scripts, troubleshoot, and execute unit tests 

• Work on automation initiatives and take ownership of automated dashboards used by Finance and other functions 

• Develop reporting that tracks functional spend as compared to budget and provides insights to past and forecasted spend 

• Work with corporate functions to prepare budgets and analyze actual spend, including operating expenses and capital expenditures 

• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance 

• Gain thorough understanding of each corporate function internal work and become a crucial member of the team 

• Support head of FP&A, Director of Transformation and Functional leads with ad-hoc reporting and analysis 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or Information Technology 

• 5+ years experience in Finance, Controlling or managing a Financial Software 

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and SAP BPC  

• Knowledgeable in SAP BW, Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Server 

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP ERP are an advantage 

• Analytical with a strong problem solving and error analysis, result-oriented and a structured way of working 

• Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity 

• Intellectually curious, highly driven and motivated by continuous improvement
