Job Summary:
As Head of Engineering and Construction, you will lead our Engineering and Construction team at a global level! In this role, you will report to Chief Operating Officer and will have the responsibility of Engineering, Project Construction and PMO for CG, since initial stage of Development, during construction and until its effective delivery to the O&M area. Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- Oversee a global engineering and construction team, managing operations across geographies, with office locations in Spain and Chile (subject to CG strategic needs). Ensure alignment with the company’s growth strategy while fostering a participatory work culture, also including actions and plans related to gender equity and equality.
- Lead and monitor project planning, development, management, control, and execution, to guarantee compliance with the objectives in terms of scope, time, health and safety, quality, deadline, costs, and sustainability. Oversee constructability and development optimization while managing the delivery of projects to O&M aligning with company KPIs, budget, policies, and strategic goals, especially by actively participating in the definition of assumptions in the development stage that impact implementation.
- Define and control the quality management plan for projects and ensure its execution, while monitoring compliance with the processes and quality control requirements among contractors, suppliers and future tenders. Lead and consolidate the PMO area.
- Supervise the start-up stages of the projects, ensuring proper organizational setup and verification of all systems and components, in accordance with industry best practices, the investment model of the renewable asset plan/ thermal plant and regulations. Participate in defining contracting strategies and evaluating contractors to ensure optimal execution and performance of CG projects. Strengthen the power generation asset portfolio across greenfield, brownfield, and M&A initiatives, enhancing competitiveness through optimized deadlines.
- Manage and control technical (DEVEX) and investment (CAPEX) budgets, ensuring allocation, execution, and prioritization of resources. Generate management reports and corrective measures for deviations, maintaining continuous financial oversight and ensuring budget compliance.
- Define and establish SLA protocols (where applicable) between business and service units for project management, to uphold management KPIs, customer satisfaction, quality and sustainability standards, contributing to the clarification of roles and responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
Your profile is a natural match if you have:
- Education: Degree in Engineering
- Experience: at least 15 years of expertise engineering, construction and project management and experience in leading teams across different geographies.

o Occupational Safety and Environmental Regulations
o Technical knowledge of Combine Cyle, Power Generation and Renewables technologies PV, Wind and BESS.
o Exceptional leadership skills, capable of guiding and inspiring multidisciplinary teams
o Strong executive presence, enabling them to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
o Relentless focus on goals, leveraging their expertise to deliver measurable success
- Languages: Full English proficiency
- Travel requirements: This position will require frequent business trips.
