We are looking for a Senior IT Specialist based in Madrid to coordinate IT services across our office and power plants in Spain. You will act as the local technical reference, ensuring reliable operations while collaborating with global teams. Key responsibilities: 

    • Act as local IT technical lead and L2/L3 escalation point for end-user and workplace IT issues.
    • Provide advanced hands-on support for hardware, operating systems, and Microsoft 365 services.
    • Work in close collaboration with the centralized Service Desk, ensuring proper ticket ownership and escalation when required.
    • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
    • Manage onboarding and offboarding activities, including device preparation, imaging, and deployment using corporate tools (SCCM / Intune / Autopilot or similar).
    • Ensure proper lifecycle management of end-user devices according to global standards.
    • Support local network infrastructure troubleshooting in coordination with Global Network teams.
    • Perform regular on-site visits to plants to ensure operational continuity and user support.
    • Coordinate local IT vendors for operational activities and technical projects.
    • Maintain accurate asset inventory and support procurement activities for IT equipment.
    • Support rollout of global IT initiatives at local level.
    • Utilize and maintain the IT ticketing system to document, track, and resolve incidents, requests, problems, and changes in accordance with ITIL processes.
    • Monitor open issues, communicate workarounds, ensure proper follow-up, and drive timely resolution.
    • Create and maintain technical and operational documentation related to local IT services.
    • Administer and maintain the Hardware Asset Management solution, ensuring accurate inventory and asset tracking.
    • Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and deliver practical IT solutions.
    • Support and coordinate the local deployment of global IT initiatives and projects, acting as the interface between Global IT teams and local stakeholders.
    • Support the preparation and tracking of the local IT budget..

 

Your profile: 

  • Fluent Spanish and English.
  • Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows environments and end-user computing.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
  • Experience with endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM, Autopilot or similar).
  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals:
    • TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi troubleshooting
    • Switch and firewall basic configuration concepts
    • Experience supporting local network environments in coordination with central teams.
    • Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting Android and iOS mobile devices and MDM platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset and operational ownership.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a multi-site environment.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Spain.
  • Nice to have: experience in industrial or plant environments, basic understanding of OT environments and IT/OT interaction, experience working in international or matrix organizations.
