Regional IT/OT Expert

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Regional IT/OT Expert Bulgaria to work directly with end-users and managers to provide advanced hardware, software, network, and applications problem resolution; to support installations, operational availability, and troubleshooting of OT hardware with external companies. Additionally, the role will identify areas for improvement in the technology landscape, propose solutions, and implement end-to-end projects. This role also involves taking ownership of IT support for the Maritsa plant, ensuring seamless operations by working closely with internal IT and OT departments. Furthermore, the Regional IT/OT Expert will play a key role in the transition project of the Maritsa coal plant into a renewable energy facility.
The position is based at TPP ContourGlobal Maritsa East 3, Mednikarovo.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for preparation and management of Local IT Budgets.
- Collaborating with the Global Service Desk to assist users with hardware and software issues, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of devices, network connectivity, Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), and Windows operating systems.
- Analyze, evaluate and test software and hardware problems related to LAN / WAN.
- Utilize and maintain IT ticketing system to manage and document resolution for all IT support tickets. Prepare activity and progress reports regarding support activities.
- Manage the IT onboarding process for new hires, including the preparation and deployment of laptops using corporate imaging solutions, and the configuration and enrollment of mobile devices through the company Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform.
- Provide timely responses to client and management requests. Status updates on such requests need to be provided on a regular basis
- Coordinate procurement and distribution of IT equipment and applications under management.
- Manage and support operational systems with energy regulators to ensure the compliance in data telemetry.
- Manage in scope OT system reliability, availability and recoverability.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, or a related field
- At least 3 years of working experience in the IT field
- At least 1 years of working experience in the OT field
- Good knowledge of end users and office equipment
- Good knowledge and experience of industrial control systems
- High sense of responsibility, good team player
- Fluent in English
- Great service attitude, curious in new technologies, good relational skills to coordinate multicultural teams, strong project management skills, proactive.
