The Italy finance controller will be a key position in order to sustain the growth of the Italian business, following activities of controlling and accounting, working closely to business to support the growing activity. This position will be a link between controlling and accounting department and will have the possibility to grow in both competencies, with possible career opportunities in both areas.
 

These are the main responsibilities:
 

  1. Lead full month-end closing for the development entities;
  1. Support the preparation of cost-controlling activities and Cash Flow Forecast for development entities and projects
  2. Support the Finance manager in the preparation of local GAAP financial statements and other statutory reports, in coordination with external consultants when applicable
  3. Support the preparation and approval of the Consolidated Financial Statements.
  4. Ensuring a strong internal control environment for all assets and compliance with the internal control activities
  5. Support on the booking of group ledger entries in SAP
  6. Review of all the new contracts related to the Development projects. Identify the relevant milestones and plan the cost and the related cash flows on the related contracts, ensuring timely payments to vendors and developers
  7. Review of the specific documents related to the achieved milestones
  8. Support the local construction manager on the coordination of the vendor contracts and review project invoices for local accounting and tax purposes
  9. Analyze the costs and identify the relevant impact on accounting and Financial statements
  10. Support the Tax Manager on the preparation of the fiscal deadlines (Ires, Irap, VAT, Withholding taxes, Imu etc)
  11. Budget and forecast support
  12. Any other ad hoc tasks, as required by the CFO Solar or by the Finance manager

 

Key competencies:

  • 3-5 years of experience in consultancy companies in auditing and finance activities or in house in multinational companies mid-large sized
  • Finance-related degree
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Preferable previous experience with SAP and project management/capital expenditure tracking
  • Curious and ambitious person
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player, willing to achieve goals with the team
