JOB SUMMARY:
The Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the financial performance and integrity of ContourGlobal’s assets in Chile, ensuring strategic financial planning, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role partners with senior leadership to drive business performance, optimize cash management, and support financial decision-making.
The position is based in Santiago, Chile.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the financial strength and performance of assets in Chile.
- Partner with the Asset Manager (Grenergy) to ensure high-quality service and value for money.
- Optimize cash management and hedge strategies, ensuring liquidity and financial stability.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and trend analysis for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and financial policies, implementing process improvements as needed.
- Supervise the issuance of statutory accounts and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Support financial evaluations for new project opportunities, including due diligence for M&A and financing of development projects.
- Utilize technology to enhance financial processes and drive efficiencies.
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and/or finance, with at least 2 years in a Finance Director or equivalent role.
- Strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing external financing and covenants.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Knowledge of IFRS and/or USGAAP reporting.
- Experience in the energy sector is desirable.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.
This position reports hierarchically to the General Manager South America and the CFO Americas.
