Job Summary:

As the Quality & Regulatory Manager, you will join our Operations team! In this role, you will report to Chief Operations Officer LATAM and will be responsible for leading the implementation and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) under ISO 9001 standards, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry-specific standards. This role oversees internal and external audits, ensures supplier compliance and handles all regulatory permits and licenses required for the operation, health & safety, and environmental (HSE) policies across all sites. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and management of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System across the organization to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Ensure alignment with local, national, and international regulatory requirements, including relevant industry certifications.
  • Lead the acquisition, tracking, renewal and maintenance of all industrial permits and regulatory licenses required for plant operations, coordinating with municipal, state, and federal authorities to ensure legal compliance and operational continuity.
  • Oversee the review and audit processes for contracts and permits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely updates.
  • Develop, review, and oversee the documentation of QMS policies, manuals, procedures, and work instructions to maintain alignment with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely follow-ups on corrective and preventive actions to address audit findings.
  • Lead training programs for employees at all levels, ensuring staff are proficient in ISO 9001 standards, quality management practices, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities, analyzing performance data, and proposing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and quality outcomes.
  • Monitor and manage QMS performance indicators, provide detailed reports to senior management, and recommend actions based on trends and data analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and customer-specific quality requirements within the QMS framework.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with certification bodies, ensuring smooth communication and the timely renewal of ISO 9001 certification.
  • Mentor and guide the Quality team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment to support overall organizational goals.
  • Ensure that all contractual and regulatory obligations from suppliers are met, monitoring compliance and coordinating corrective actions when needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Your profile is a natural match if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Quality Management, or a related field (master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing or overseeing ISO 9001 implementations and maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading internal and external audits, including developing corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of additional management standards, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, is a plus.
  • Experience with certifications and regulatory compliance processes in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.
  • Travel required based on business needs.
