JOB SUMMARY: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Compensations and Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing compensation frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, market competitiveness, and internal equity. As a Senior Compensations and Benefits Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping our compensation strategies, driving compensation-related projects, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. 

 

The position is based in Monterrey, Nuevo León. 

  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Compensation Framework Development: Lead the design and implementation of compensation frameworks that align with the company’s business objectives and ensure competitiveness in the labor market. 

  • Market Analysis & Benchmarking: Conduct in-depth market research and salary benchmarking to ensure compensation structures are competitive and reflective of industry standards. 

  • Job Evaluation & Salary Structure: Collaborate with HR business partners to evaluate job roles and create salary structures that promote fairness and internal equity across the organization. 

  • Compensation Strategy Execution: Support the execution of compensation strategies by reviewing compensation offers, salary adjustments, and incentive plans. 

  • Policy Development & Compliance: Develop, review, and implement compensation policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as adherence to internal standards and practices. 

  • Compensation Analysis & Reporting: Analyze compensation data to provide insights on pay practices, trends, and equity. Prepare reports for senior leadership, identifying areas for improvement and offering recommendations. 

  • Employee Communication & Education: Provide guidance to HR teams, managers, and employees on compensation policies, salary structures, and the interpretation of compensation plans. 

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage compensation-related projects, including annual salary review processes, bonus plan design, and equity compensation programs. 

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other HR teams (Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Learning & Development) and business leaders to ensure the compensation structure is aligned with organizational needs and objectives. 

 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. 

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation management, with a focus on compensation frameworks, salary structures, and job evaluation. 

  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, market trends, and best practices. 

  • Proven experience designing and implementing compensation frameworks that align with organizational strategy and industry standards. 

  • Experience conducting compensation analysis and preparing detailed reports for senior leadership. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. 

  • Experience in SuccessFactors is preferred. 

  • Advanced fluency in English is required. 

  • Travel availability: upon business needs 

 

This position reports hierarchically to the Global Compensations & Benefits Director.
