This position is responsible for the overall coordination of the Company’s regional procurement programs and practices. This role will collaborate with operational functions to ensure procured goods and services are efficiently leveraged within the organization. This position will also assist in executing a transformation for the procurement function in the region.


The position is based in Monterrey, Nuevo León.



  • Manage all aspects of Purchasing functions in a multi-entity, multi-country (US/Mexico/Caribbean) matrix organization with a focus in Mexico.
  • Lead procurement related (local and corporate) initiatives in a manufacturing, power plant, oil and gas, or similar environment.
  • Aligning resources, prioritizing strategies, establishing targets, and implementing cost improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain sourcing strategies and capabilities – RFP’s/RFI’s, negotiations, contract management, supplier relationship management.
  • Execute sourcing strategies, practices, and process improvement in support of procuring goods & services for the Company.
  • Consolidate supply base by locating, analyzing, and developing suppliers to meet current and future needs for all purchased materials and services.
  • Manage all phases of procurement and contracting, including RFx, vendor evaluations, and continuous improvement process for suppliers.
  • Identify, negotiate, and implement local and regional supplier contracts.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and operations to optimize the Company’s success.
  • Establish, analyze and improvement of policies and procedures.  Provide guidelines and implement new procedures as needed to increase quality, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
  • Provide training, follow-up, and feedback to internal team members.



  • Ability to negotiate and network with a wide variety of vendors, internal customers, and stakeholders.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams to drive, direct and lead Company initiatives and goals.
  • Familiarity with P2P/S2P programs and processes or willingness to learn. Coupa, Ariba, SAP is a plus.
  • Working level proficiency in English and Spanish



  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline or equivalent business/work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience performing a procurement function within a corporate procurement environment.
  • S2P/P2P experience is a plus (Coupa, Ariba, SAP, etc.)
  • Experience within a multi-site manufacturing, engineering, or power generation environment preferred.
  • CPSM or other procurement certification desirable.


This position reports hierarchically to the Procurement Director.
