JOB SUMMARY:
As Operator, you will join our Operations team! In this role, you will report to O&M Manager and will have the opportunity to supervise the operation of the plant, ensuring that an appropriate response is given to alarms. You will be responsible for operating or ensuring that the plant is operated in a safe and efficient manner, responding to emergency situations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
When occupying the position of Shift Manager:
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, you are the highest figure in the Plant operation in the corresponding shift.
Act as Intervention Manager (during normal hours) and Emergency Director (outside normal hours), in case of emergency, or assume the substitutions of other emergency team appointments, as defined in the Internal Emergency Plan.
Supervise and control the unloading of dangerous goods.
Prepare procedures, technical operating instructions, notifications and incident investigations.
Authorize and close work permits in accordance with the procedure “PT-OM-01. Work permits”.
Be responsible for the discharge/normalization process in accordance with the procedure “PT-OM-02. Isolations and blockages (LOTO)”.
Be responsible for the preparation of operational and statistical reports. (Daily reports, Incident reports, 5Whys…).
Plan, manage and carry out preventive and predictive maintenance assigned to operation.
Communicate and coordinate with the Electrical Control Center everything related to the operation of the plant.
Provide the induction course in the absence of the Occupational Health and Safety Department and ongoing training of new operators in plant operations.
Ensure the correct and effective implementation of the integrated management system for safety, health, the environment and serious accidents for the assigned group site, based on the responsibilities indicated in the application procedures.
When occupying the position of Operator:
Identify and point out any possible anomalies that may appear in the Production operation, taking the necessary measures to correct deviations, according to the instructions received.
Perform field rounds and SCADAS.
Assist in the design of discharges for the Shift Manager and execute the discharges approved by the shift manager in the field.
Prepare and review the technical instructions of the department.
Supervise and control the discharge of incoming dangerous goods.
Inform your superior in the case of uncontrolled deviations, so that he can act accordingly.
If necessary, support the immediate intervention team in resolving incidents that may be detected during their shift, to maximize energy generation by reducing downtime, within the limits set by the Plant's operating procedures.
Make incident and improvement reports.
