Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and organizing the maintenance of the Plant’s equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and established procedures, while prioritizing the safety of people and equipment. The role is focused on maximizing Plant performance and availability and ensuring the highest standards of quality.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning strategic maintenance activities, including maintenance plans, responding promptly and in real time to any maintenance-related issues, and ultimately managing maintenance activities to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the required safety, environmental, and quality standards and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Establish and ensure compliance with the Maintenance Management System (MAXIMO) within the Maintenance organization, including Work Orders (WOs) and Permits to Work (PTWs) requested by the department.

Review and/or approve Maintenance Procedures and Work Instructions.

Participate in the recruitment and selection process for personnel reporting to the position.

Lead and supervise the maintenance technical team under his/her responsibility.

Manage and oversee contractors and outsourced services with regard to scope of work, budget, technical execution and quality, as well as Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.

Participate in the Plant’s Safety and Environmental inspections and rounds.

Organize and coordinate the technical and safety training required to develop and enhance the professional skills of the team.

Plan and optimize scheduled maintenance shutdowns.

Effectively manage the availability of spare parts and consumables.

Participate in the proper and effective implementation of the integrated management system covering Health & Safety, Environmental matters, and Major Accident Prevention at the assigned Group site, in accordance with the responsibilities defined in the applicable procedures.

Propose annual objectives for direct reports and monitor their achievement.

Monitor and ensure compliance with the budget allocated to the area.

Act as a member of the Advisory Committee in the event of an emergency, as defined in the Emergency Response Plan (PEI).

Promote continuous improvement across maintenance activities and processes.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience performing similar responsibilities, preferably within the Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) or broader Energy sector, although experience in other industrial sectors will also be considered.
