Senior Procurement Officer

Santiago, Chile

Job Summary:

As Senior Procurement Officer, you will join our Procurement team! In this role, you will report to Procurement Manager LATAM and will have the opportunity to create and manage sourcing events and tenders according to Company’s standards and develop extensive category-supplier knowledge. The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for the timely and accurate procurement of goods or services within designated categories, with focus on Renewable Energy technology. This role involves managing supplier negotiations, onboarding, contracting, and maintaining overall supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  1. Procurement of Goods or Services:
    • Manage the procurement process for goods or services within designated categories, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency and compliance with Company’s policies.
  2. Sourcing Events/Tenders:
    • Create and manage Sourcing Events for required goods or services, adhering to Company’s guidelines and standards.
    • Evaluate bids and proposals, ensuring they meet defined requirements and budget constraints.
  3. Identification of New Suppliers and Opportunities:
    • Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers to expand the Company's supplier base.
    • Explore new opportunities for cost savings, innovation, and improved quality.
    • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and emerging suppliers.
  4. Supplier and Contract Management:
    • Conduct complex supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms.
    • Manage supplier onboarding and ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
    • Handle contracting processes, ensuring all agreements are thoroughly reviewed and executed.
    • Foster and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues that may arise.
  5. Category-Supplier Knowledge Development:
    • Develop in-depth knowledge of the Renewable Energy category and its suppliers. Create and maintain Category Catalogs.
    • Stay informed about market trends, supplier performance, and new product developments.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance procurement strategies and supplier relationships.
  6. Support to Business Units During Budget Planning:
    • Collaborate with business units to understand their procurement needs and budget constraints.
    • Provide expert advice on cost forecasting and budgeting for procurement activities.
    • Assist in the development of procurement strategies that align with budgetary goals.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Your profile is a natural match if you have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Post-graduate international qualification in Procurement/Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
  • Experience: At least 5 (five) years of experience in procurement of diverse range of goods and services in multinational environment; Experience in the Renewable Energy sector is a plus.
  • Skills: Fluent English is required
  • Travel requirements: Occasionally upon business needs
