JOB SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking an Accountant to support the Holding companies accounting team, in charge of Holding companies based in Luxembourg, London, New York, Paris and Sofia. The position is based in Sofia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the team in the completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in a timely manner.
- Assist in the coordination and accounting activities relating to the Holding companies:
- Validate, justify and post routine accounting entries; and
- Provide integrity assurance GL upstream and downstream processes: fixed assets, payroll, inventory, determination of revenue and expense accruals, provision, expense reports, sales & use Tax and local tax provisions, cash and bank information, etc.
- Perform bank related accounting activities including; reconciliation of bank accounts, liaising with the treasury department as appropriate and raising payments in the treasury system.
- Assist in preparation of analysis and reconciliations necessary to validate and explain accounting information on a regular basis, such as (but not limited to):
- Intercompany reconciliations;
- Bank reconciliations; and
- Payroll reconciliations.
- Cash pool clean up.
- Commitment to maintaining a high quality Internal Control Environment.
- Support to the external audit requests.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with relevant internal departments (Operations, Tax and Finance).
- Creation of Purchase Requisitions in SAP (as needed) and coordination with Accounts Payable with regards to invoice postings and payments.
- Issuing different type of invoices.
- Running various ad-hoc reports and analysis as required by the line manager or other departments.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other relevant
- 3 year of accounting experience and bookkeeping skills
- English language skills are required
- SAP experience is an advantage
- Good understanding of accounting processes and procedures
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment and strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities, to meet strict deadlines and manage time efficiently
- Rigorous and proactive
Travel Requirements – infrequent, upon business needs
This position reports hierarchically to Head of Accounting, Holding companies.
