JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking for a motivated professional with attention to detail for the position of Junior Accountant, to support the overall accounting activities of the Spanish portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Record selected monthly close entries. Prepare support documentation for Journal Entries and appropriate internal controls documentation according to Group Procedures.
•    Assist with the monthly reporting to the Group.
•    Prepare schedules for quarterly and annual audits and other supporting documentation.
•    Manage accounts payable and prepare payments to suppliers.
•    Manage accounts receivable and reconcile customer invoices to trading and banks.
•    Analyze and agree intercompany transactions, as well as assigned balance sheet accounts.
•    Review all cash transactions, as they occur daily.
•    Assist the Senior Accountant in the preparation of tax returns according to local tax regulations.
•    Assist with purchasing activities related to the office/plant requirements.
•    Run various ad-hoc reports and analysis as required by the line manager or any other departments.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other relevant
•    1+ years of accounting experience
•    Experience in an international business environment is a strong advantage
•    Proficiency in English; Spanish is a strong advantage
•    SAP and IFRS expertise

Travel Requirements - upon business needs 

This position reports hierarchically to Head of Accounting Spain.
