JOB SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a Junior Accountant to support the US region accounting team, in charge of 14 entities. The position is based in Sofia.

 

KEY RESPON     RESPONSABILITIES:

 

  • Perform Bank related accounting activities and control strictly all banking operations:
  • Ensure timely recording of treasury entries
  • Liaise with the Treasury to ensure a recurring bank reconciliation
  • Reconcile strictly the bank accounts
  • Report on and fix any issue  
  • Assist the team in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process on a timely manner for the US entities in respect of corporate guidance and instructions
  • Assist in the coordination and accounting activities on a sustainable basis:
  • Validate, justify and post routine accounting entries
  • Provide integrity assurance on each and every GL upstream and downstream process: fixed assets, payroll elements, inventory, determination of revenue and expense accruals, any required provision, expense reports, Sales &Use Tax and any local tax provision, cash and bank information, etc.
  • Assist in preparation of analysis and reconciliations necessary to qualify and explain the accounting information on a regular basis, of which but not limited to:
  • Intercompany reconciliation
  • Inventory reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Payroll reconciliation
  • Contribute to maintain high quality Internal Control Environment
  • Support to the audit reviews and answer to any request if required.
  • Conduct appropriate communications with all contributors (Operations, Tax and Finance) to ensure proper collaboration
  • Coordination with the Accounts Payable team with regards to invoice postings and payments
  • Creation of Purchase Requisitions in SAP (as needed)
  • Issuing different type of invoices
  • Run various ad-hoc reports and analysis as required by the line manager or any other departments

 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other relevant
  • 1 year of accounting experience and bookkeeping skills are an advantage
  • English language skills are required
  • SAP experience is an advantage
  • Good understanding of accounting processes and procedures
  • Analytical skills and attention to details
  • Ability to work in a team and very good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities, to meet strict deadlines and manage time efficiently
  • Rigorous and proactive

 

 

This position reports hierarchically to Head of Accounting, US Assets.
