JOB SUMMARY:

 

We are currently seeking Microsoft SCCM Senior Engineer to complete the Network Operations Center team. The Microsoft SCCM Senior Engineer manages the SCCM infrastructure, plan and execute upgrades, deploy custom packages and security policies.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement SCCM infrastructure, including site hierarchy, boundaries, and replication.
  • Plan and execute SCCM upgrades, including evaluating new features and functionality, preparing for changes, and testing the upgrade in a lab environment.
  • Create and deploy custom SCCM packages and applications, including software updates, OS deployments, and task sequences.
  • Configure and manage SCCM collections, including creating and modifying collection rules, queries, and memberships.
  • Develop and implement SCCM security policies, including role-based access control and compliance settings.
  • Monitor SCCM infrastructure, including performance, health, and capacity, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Manage and configure SCCM inventory, including hardware and software inventory, metering, and reporting.
  • Implement and manage SCCM software distribution, including creating and managing distribution points, deploying software, and managing version control.
  • Configure and deploy SCCM updates and patches, including patch management, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot SCCM client issues, including client installation and configuration, and communication issues with SCCM infrastructure.
  • Design and implement SCCM reporting solutions, including customizing reports and dashboards, and automating report delivery.
  • Configure and manage SCCM remote tools, including remote control and remote assistance.
  • Manage and configure SCCM compliance settings, including creating and managing configuration baselines and remediation rules.
  • Implement and manage SCCM endpoint protection, including configuring antivirus and anti-malware policies, and managing endpoint protection clients.
  • Configure and manage SCCM asset intelligence, including configuring and deploying software metering and usage tracking.
  • Develop and implement SCCM automation solutions, including creating and managing scripts and task sequences.
  • Configure and manage SCCM infrastructure in a hybrid environment, including integrating SCCM with Microsoft Intune and Azure services.
  • Document SCCM infrastructure and processes, including creating and maintaining operational documentation, and developing disaster recovery plans.
  • Implement and manage SCCM role-based access control (RBAC) and delegation, including creating and managing security roles and permissions.
  • Troubleshoot SCCM site-to-site communication issues, including setting up and configuring network connectivity and firewalls.
  • Configure and manage SCCM site maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and site cleanups.
  • Manage and configure SCCM site settings, including configuring client settings, site maintenance settings, and database maintenance settings.
  • Implement and manage SCCM cloud management gateway (CMG), including configuring and managing the CMG and configuring cloud distribution points.
  • Configure and manage SCCM conditional access policies, including creating and managing conditional access rules and compliance policies.
  • Troubleshoot SCCM application deployment issues, including analyzing logs and error messages and identifying the root cause of issues.
  • Configure and manage SCCM task sequence deployment, including creating and managing task sequences and troubleshooting task sequence deployment issues. 

 

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

  • Support the CISO and cybersecurity team in solving vulnerabilities reported in the Microsoft environment reporting cybersecurity operations KPIs, including cybersecurity event and incident metrics, to monitor and report cybersecurity operational effectiveness
  • Support NOC team in engagement of technology, security, and business stakeholders to create awareness and alignment with network operational needs

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years in operating with Microsoft large networks spread on multiple geographies, ideally within Energy sector
  • Proficient and experienced in Microsoft Active Directory networks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Team player, motivated to help others and comfortable giving and receiving feedback
  • Flexible, resilient under pressure, and decisive, with a proven track record of delivering results to a high standard within tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to company facilities as required (20%)
  • A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualification
  • One of the certification below owned by candidates represent an advantage: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate; Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate; Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Manager Administrator Associate; Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

 

This position reports hierarchically to IT Manager Europe.
