JOB SUMMARY:
The Procurement Director is responsible for leading the procurement team and managing the procurement activities and processes for the company's operations. The successful candidate will work closely with other departments to ensure that procurement policies and procedures are aligned with the company's overall strategy and will be responsible for ensuring that all procurement activities comply with local laws and regulations.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with the company's overall
objectives across all countries.
•    Manage procurement activities for the company's operations, including sourcing, purchasing,
and contract negotiation through the Company’s tool, Coupa.
•    Set the purchasing policies and overall management of purchasing processes; Promote global
adherence to policies, standards, and best practices.
•    Define and report the key KPIs of the function.
•    Drive technology and innovation initiatives to improve the purchasing processes.
•    Identify areas where procurement activities could be bundled between countries.
•    Negotiate meaningful contracts to achieve significant savings across the different geographies.
•    Systematically solicit bids and quotes from vendors and evaluate current contracts vs new
Proposals.
•    Negotiate EPC and other construction contracts including costs, milestones and all other
specificities of construction contracts.
•    Ensure that all procurement activities comply with local laws and regulations, as well as the company's internal policies and procedures.
•    Monitor supplier performance and maintain supplier relationships to ensure the company is receiving high-quality goods and services at the best possible price.

•    Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, including training and development of staff.
•    Collaborate with other departments, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with the company's overall strategy across all countries.
•    Train the country procurement teams to fully use Coupa in its most optimal way.

QUALIFICATION and SKILLS: 
•    University Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
•    At least 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in managing procurement activities in a multinational company across multiple countries.
•    Post-graduate international qualification in Procurement/Supply Chain Management is an advantage. 
•    Proficiency in English. Additional language skills are a plus.
•    Experience with procurement software (Coupa) and other ERP systems is a big plus.
•    Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing supplier relationships across multiple countries.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
•    Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement. 

 

Travel Requirements – the role will require occasional travels, upon business needs.

 

This position reports hierarchically to VP Controlling.
