POSITION SCOPE
ContourGlobal is actively seeking a proactive and innovative professional to fill the role of Procurement Officer within our organization. The Procurement Officer will create and manage sourcing events and tenders according to company standards and develop extensive category-supplier knowledge. The Procurement Officer is responsible for the timely and accurate procurement of goods or services within specific categories/technologies. This role involves managing supplier negotiations, onboarding, contracting, and maintaining overall supplier relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Procurement of Goods or Services:
- Manage the procurement process for goods or services within a designated category, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency and compliance with company policies.
- Sourcing Events and Tenders:
- Create and manage sourcing events and tenders for required goods or services, adhering to company guidelines and standards.
- Evaluate bids and proposals, ensuring they meet the company's requirements and budget constraints.
- Identification of New Suppliers and Opportunities:
- Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers to expand the company's supplier base.
- Explore new opportunities for cost savings, innovation, and improved quality.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and emerging suppliers.
- Supplier and Contract Management:
- Conduct supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms.
- Manage supplier onboarding and ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
- Handle contracting processes, ensuring all agreements are thoroughly reviewed and executed.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues that may arise.
- Category-Supplier Knowledge Development:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the specific category and its suppliers. Create and maintain Category Catalogs.
- Stay informed about market trends, supplier performance, and new product developments.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance procurement strategies and supplier relationships.
- Support to Business Units During Budget Planning:
- Collaborate with business units to understand their procurement needs and budget constraints.
- Provide expert advice on cost forecasting and budgeting for procurement activities.
- Assist in the development of procurement strategies that align with budgetary goals.
7. Perform other duties as required by line manager.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in procurement of diverse range of goods and services in multinational environment.
- Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools will be considered as an advantage (SAP; Coupa)
- Knowledge of market trends and supplier management practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Fluent English is required.
