JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking for a motivated professional with attention to detail for the position of Senior Accountant, to support the overall accounting activities of the Spanish portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Perform full month end accounting close for Spanish legal entities, including reconciliations for all major balances, including relevant documents for journal entries.
•    Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statement, including variance analysis.  Accounts should be prepared under IFRS making any necessary adjustments from local GAAP accounts. Monthly reconciliation (local vs IFRS).
•    Prepare group monthly and quarterly reporting. Liaison with external and internal auditors, bank representatives and insurers.
•    Management of inter-company transactions including issuing invoices and calculating interests.
•    Ensure strong internal control environment and compliance with company policies for the Spanish portfolio.
•    Assist in the process of preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, as well as variance analysis.
•    Participate and support special projects (M&A and other) or any other ad hoc tasks, as needed.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other relevant
•    Minimum 3 years of proven financial and accounting experience
•    Experience in an international business environment is a strong advantage
•    Proficiency in English; Spanish is a strong advantage
•    SAP and IFRS expertise

Travel Requirements - upon business needs 

This position reports hierarchically to Head of Accounting Spain
