JOB SUMMARY:

 

We are currently seeking a Senior Cisco Network Engineer to complete the Network Operations Center team. The Senior Cisco Network Engineer reports to Deputy Chief Information Security Officer and performs cybersecurity event monitoring and incident response, active defense, cybersecurity infrastructure operations support and cybersecurity vulnerability/patch/configuration support activities.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates the Network Operation Center activities together with NOC suppliers.
  • Verify and oversee all the activities performed by NOC suppliers and internal network engineers.
  • Responsible for designing, building, configuring, troubleshooting and technical analysis of the CG’s networks.
  • Collaborate with network architects and NOC supplier to design and build functional networks from the ground up based on the internal users’ specific needs.
  • Configure and install network hardware and software supported by NOC suppliers.
  • Proactively monitor network performance. Propose improvements and corrective solutions.
  • Provide periodically network status reports to Chief Information Officer.
  • Maintaining technical documentation and mentoring team on technical issues.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity team and CISO for creating, overseeing and testing security measures such as disaster recovery.
  • Collaborate with all IT internal functions and provide technical leadership for IT internal projects.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to the other IT functions.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to other Network Engineers as needed.
  • Develop and implement NOC operational procedures, e.g., incident response processes and procedures, network administration.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend network- related software and hardware products and services.
  • Perform capacity and resource planning for network systems.
  • Assess network risks and perform contingency planning.

 

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

  • Support IT Compliance and Governance for audit and compliance activities, e.g., furnish information relevant for audit activities, respond to audit findings and remediation tasks, receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation & resolution.
  • Support the CIO in collecting and reporting networking operations KPIs, including events and incident metrics, to monitor and report network operational effectiveness.
  • Keep abreast with emerging cybersecurity operation trends and issues; and understand business related cybersecurity risks and support requirements.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in computer system or network engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, networking administration, information technology, or a similar field
  • Expertise knowledge of Cisco networking systems
  • Expertise in network operating systems - Cisco IOS
  • Expertise with LAN / WAN topologies including MPLS, and point-to-point private lines.
  • Expertise with route protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, BGP
  • Expert Skills with conducting Network Assessments including the documentation and presentation of the findings
  • Experience with storage engineering, wide-area networking, and network virtualization
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to identify, deploy, and manage complex networking systems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Team player, motivated to help others and comfortable giving and receiving feedback
  • Flexible, resilient under pressure, and decisive, with a proven track record of delivering results to a high standard within tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel to company facilities as required (20%)
  • CCNP Enterprise certification or equivalent is required. CCIE Enterprise is desirable
  • ITIL Foundation certified is desirable

 

This position reports hierarchically to Deputy Chief Information Security Officer
