Job Summary:

As Project Manager Mexico, you will join our Operations team! In this role, you will report to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing strategic infrastructure and operational projects across CGA and CELCSA facilities. This role involves close collaboration with Plant Managers, Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance teams to identify plant issues, propose solutions, and oversee CAPEX initiatives. Also, you evaluate technical and economic feasibility, manage external vendors and contractors, and ensure compliance with local regulations and sustainability goals. A strong focus on continuous improvement, business continuity planning, and technical support during plant outages is essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Provide project management support to our two plants in Mexico: CGA (Tamaulipas) and CELCSA (Veracruz).
  • Analyze operational issues identified by the Plant Manager and propose technical and strategic solutions to optimize plant performance.
  • Conduct comprehensive technical and economic assessments of plant challenges and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead and oversee CAPEX project activities, including infrastructure upgrades, capacity expansions, efficiency improvements, and other complex initiatives.
  • Manage and coordinate vendors providing engineering services and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) solutions.
  • Evaluate technical proposals during tender processes for projects and major plant services.
  • Support the planning and execution of major maintenance outages.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance and Operations Manager to address the findings and recommendations from the service insurer.
  • Develop and coordinate the annual Business Continuity Plan for both plants.
  • Work closely with the Plant Manager to collect and validate technical information for refinancing processes, external reporting, and other cross-functional requirements.
  • Promote and lead continuous improvement initiatives across both facilities.
  • Champion and actively participate in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives, ensuring that all projects and activities are executed with a Safety First mindset and in full compliance with internal and regulatory HSE standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical).
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in cogeneration, energy, or industrial facilities.
  • Proven ability to lead CAPEX and infrastructure projects from planning to execution.
  • Strong technical and economic analysis skills for addressing plant performance issues.
  • Experience managing external vendors and EPC contractors.
  • Knowledge of Mexican environmental and industrial regulations (water, energy, etc.).
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance.
  • Experience with business continuity planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Skilled in preparing technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Prior experience in the energy or cogeneration industry is highly desirable.
