JOB SUMMARY
The Greenfield Development Counsel supports the teams working on the development of renewable projects handling all legal aspects in every project phase including drafting and reviewing any type of agreements/legally required documents and participating in negotiation and execution process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend to all aspects and issues related to renewable project development and financing, with a special focus on wind projects.
- Structure, draft, review and effectively negotiate power purchase agreements, engineering, procurement, supply and construction contracts.
- Draft, review and negotiate NDAs, exclusivity agreements, land options and lease agreements.
- Perform diligence and provide diligence guidance to development team.
- Support the development team in the authorization and permitting process.
- Draft, review and negotiate debt structures to support greenfield development, including construction financings.
- Provide general legal support to finance, business development, construction and operations teams in the deployment of renewables projects.
- Provide general legal counsel and strategic guidance to senior and executive level management.
- Effectively and efficiently engage and manage outside counsel.
- Manage internal and external transaction processes and drive continuous improvements and scalability in deal processes and execution.
- Ensure internal governance, policies and processes are carefully respected.

QUALLIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Experience
- Strong academic background
- 7+ years of professional experience in-house in greenfield development
- Substantial experience in development of renewable projects.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and German.

- A high-level of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility and flexibility, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with development team and other legal department members.
- Flexible and open minded.
- Well organized and hardworking, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and great team player
- Willingness to work on a broad variety of subject matters. Self-starter that likes to take on responsibility.
