Job Summary:
The Legal Counsel is the link between Legal and the business. He/She performs a variety of tasks to ensure the company objectives are aligned with management and employees, thus contributing to the efficiency of our business.
Key Activities & Accountabilities:
- Management of all corporate governance requirements of the Austrian and compliance with all applicable internal control requirements.
- Day-to-day operational support of the Austrian business, including supporting other functions such as HR, compliance, environmental, insurance and regulatory.
- Management of the existing contractual structure for Austrian business, including:
- analyze and report to the team on potential risk or liability issues
- monitor and implementation of corrective actions
- track compliance of existing contractual requirements
- support of pre-contentious or contentious situations like claims, insolvency, bankruptcy situations, dispute resolution and settlement agreements
- Preparation, negotiation and implementation of project contracts for developing or existing projects (i.e., MOUs, PPAs, O&Ms, TSAs, EPCs etc.) and of amendments/waivers to existing financing agreements.
- Preparation, drafting, and review of commercial contracts, NDAs, supply agreements, and service agreements.
- Management of litigation (including managing the relevant legal budget and coordinating with outside counsel.
- Management of relationship with minority partners in existing businesses where applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
Experience
- Strong academic background
- 7+ years of professional experience in-house in greenfield development
- Substantial experience in development of renewable projects.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and German.

- A high-level of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility and flexibility, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with development team and other legal department members.
- Flexible and open minded.
- Well organized and hardworking, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and great team player
