Job Summary: 


The prospective CFO will lead the financial performance of the CGHC, being responsible for planning, managing and implementing the CGHC’s finance activities, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting. Among the CFO’s main duties are ensuring that the Financial KPIs (EBIDTA, cash distribution, CAPEX spend, etc) are met and the annual audit report is received on time and clean.  

The CFO should be also responsible for the risks management of the Company, including the development of the financial and supporting operational strategy as well as the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. 

The position holder will be based in Yerevan, with at least monthly travel requirement to Goris and the Vorotan sites. He/she will report directly to the European Renewables CFO, based in Vienna, and with dotted line to the General Manager of the CGHC. 


Key Responsibilities: 


  • Plan cash distribution to meet or exceed the budget. 

  • Coordinate and lead the quarterly and monthly business reporting process. 

  • Lead/ manage the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial information is provided and submitted in accordance with Company policies. 

  • Ensure the completion of financial statement audits on time and with minimum audit adjustments/ deficiencies in controls. 

  • Present the conclusions of the analysis performed against the business model and any materials required for the Board of Directors meetings. 

  • Conduct the monitoring, review and coordination of the annual budget and forecasts. 

  • Conduct the monitoring, review, and coordination of the cash flow forecast. 

  • Conduct the monitoring and review of significant contracts for financial impact. 

  • Responsible for monitoring and assisting in the performance of all internal controls and ensuring all internal control requirements are met in accordance with Group policies. 

  • Ensure compliance with all debt agreements and ensure banking relationships are maintained. 

  • Responsible for the monitoring of and meeting the financial KPIs. 

  • Ensure compliance with all tax and statutory filing requirements. 

  • Supervise and support direct reports, provides timely feedback, ensures professional development, and reviews performance. 

  • Perform other ad hoc projects and responsible for the preparation of financial analysis. 


Qualifications and Skills: 


  • MBA or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting and related fields;  

  • CPA, CFA or ACCA preferred and will give competitive advantage. 

  • At least 10 years of professional experience in Finance, with international and/or highly reputable local companies, in equivalent or mid-level staff management positions. 

  • Substantial experience working with external audit, internal control and the tax audit. 

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance law and risk management practices. 

  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods. 

  • Full command of Microsoft Excel; knowledge of SAP / BPC and PowerPoint preferred. 

  • Fluent knowledge of the English language (written & verbal), plus fluency in either Armenian or Russian is also a requirement.
